28 Days Later... (2002)

28 Days Later... (2002) is a tense, visceral drama–horror–sci‑fi thriller about the collapse of society after a highly contagious “rage” virus is unleashed from a British laboratory. The film opens with animal activists accidentally freeing infected chimps, and 28 days later Jim, a young courier, wakes from a coma to find an eerily deserted London. He soon encounters other survivors—most notably Selena and Mark—and the trio sets out for sanctuary, only to discover that human cruelty and the military’s promise of safety may be as dangerous as the infected. Watching the movie you’ll experience sustained dread and sudden, brutal shocks: haunting, empty urban landscapes, frantic chases, close‑quarters violence, and wrenching human moments as trust and morality are tested. The tone is bleak and urgent, with a raw, documentary‑like feel that keeps the action immediate and the stakes personal. Expect disturbing imagery, intense action, and thought‑provoking themes about survival, the fragility of civilization, and what happens when fear overrides compassion. Content warning: strong violence, gore, and intense scenes.
