Brawl in Cell Block 99

Brawl in Cell Block 99 follows Bradley Thomas, a hulking former boxer and newly unemployed tow truck driver who turns to drug running to provide for his pregnant wife, Lauren. After a job goes violently wrong, Bradley is arrested and sent to prison—only to learn that Lauren has been kidnapped by a vengeful gang who demand he assassinate an inmate, Christopher Bridge, inside a maximum-security facility. Trapped between his code of silence, the cartel’s threats, and his determination to save his family, Bradley becomes a one-man battering ram through a brutal, claustrophobic prison world. Watching the film is a relentless, bone-deep experience: it’s spare on sentiment but heavy on physicality and dread. Expect slow-building tension punctuated by savage, close-quarters fights, grim atmospherics, and a bleak moral core—an unflinching portrait of a desperate man pushed to extremes. The story is as much about survival and love as it is about the grim consequences of bad choices, delivering a visceral, uncompromising action-drama that lingers long after the final confrontation.
