Train to Busan (2016)

Train to Busan is a relentless, fast-paced zombie thriller set almost entirely aboard a KTX bullet train racing from Seoul to Busan as a virulent outbreak spreads across South Korea. The film follows Seok-woo, a workaholic divorced father, and his young daughter Su-an as their ordinary trip becomes a desperate fight for survival when infected passengers turn savage in seconds. Along the way they join other survivors — including the gritty Sang-hwa and his pregnant wife — and must battle not only the undead but the panic, selfishness and moral choices that tear the carriages apart. Viewers will experience claustrophobic tension and non-stop action: brutal, close-quarters encounters, tense barricade moments between cars, and pulse-pounding attempts to reach a supposed safe haven in Busan. The movie mixes visceral horror and gore with emotional weight, focusing on human relationships, sacrifice and parenthood amid chaos. Visually kinetic and emotionally affecting, Train to Busan delivers shocks, heartbreak, and social commentary while keeping you on edge from start to finish.
