Farha (2021)

Farha is a tense, intimate historical drama that follows a 14‑year‑old Palestinian girl during the 1948 Nakba. When armed troops sweep into her village, Farha is hastily hidden in a locked pantry by her family. Trapped in the cramped, dark space, she becomes a helpless witness to the unravelling of her home and community — hearing the chaos outside, seeing only glimpses through a small opening, and watching life change forever from the margins. Watching Farha you will experience a slow‑building, claustrophobic tension and raw emotional weight. The film is anchored by the perspective of a single young protagonist, which makes the wider catastrophe feel immediate and personal: quieter moments of waiting and fear are punctured by violence, urgent decisions, and heartache. The movie blends historical context with visceral, human detail, confronting themes of displacement, loss of innocence, family bonds, and the cost of conflict. Expect a powerful, often heartbreaking viewing — emotionally intense and thought‑provoking. The film is both a personal coming‑of‑age story and an account of a historical tragedy, presented in a way that immerses the viewer in the fear, confusion, and grief of that moment in history. Content may be upsetting to some viewers due to scenes of conflict, forced displacement, and emotional distress.
