Knocked Up (2007)

Knocked Up (2007) is a raw, often raunchy romantic comedy about an unexpected pregnancy that forces two very different people to grow up. After a one-night stand following a night of drinking, carefree slacker Ben Stone and career-driven TV reporter Alison Scott discover eight weeks later that Alison is pregnant. They decide to try to make a relationship work for the sake of the baby, but their mismatch — Ben’s immaturity and pothead roommates versus Alison’s need for control and a polished public image — creates a string of hilarious, awkward and heartfelt conflicts as both try to figure out what kind of adults they want to be. Watching the film, you’ll get a blend of broad, crude humor and sincere emotional beats: comic set pieces and rude jokes sit alongside scenes of real vulnerability and growth.
