Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019)

After the events of Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man: Far from Home follows a still-grieving Peter Parker as he tries to trade his mask for a few weeks of normal teenage life on a European school trip. When mysterious elemental creatures begin attacking cities across the continent, Nick Fury recruits Peter alongside a charismatic new hero, Quentin Beck (Mysterio), to help investigate and fight back. The film mixes high-stakes superhero action and globe-trotting set pieces with the awkward, funny, and tender moments of high school romance and friendship, while Peter wrestles with the legacy of Tony Stark and what it means to grow into the responsibilities of a hero. Seeing the movie delivers a blend of spectacular visual effects and blockbuster action, steady humor and teen drama, and an emotional core rooted in loss and coming-of-age. Expect brisk pacing, clever twists in the mystery surrounding the Elementals and Mysterio, and plenty of heart as Peter learns to define himself on his own terms.
