Being Human (2011)

Being Human (2011) is a darkly comic supernatural drama about three twenty-somethings who try to live ordinary lives under decidedly unordinary circumstances. Aidan is a centuries-old vampire battling his bloodlust and a guilty conscience; Josh is a young man who must cope with the brutality and isolation of being a werewolf; and Sally is the restless ghost of a former tenant who can’t move on. When they become housemates, their awkward, often funny attempts at normal domestic life — jobs, dating, bills, friendships — collide with violent transformations, moral dilemmas, and the secrets of a hidden supernatural world. Watching the show you’ll get a mix of tones: warm, character-driven moments of friendship and found-family, tense horror and action scenes, and tragic emotional beats as each character wrestles with identity, addiction, loss, and the costs of survival. Expect suspense, occasional gore and violence, romantic and ethical complications, and ongoing serialized storylines that deepen relationships and raise the stakes. It’s for viewers who enjoy genre blends — drama, fantasy and horror — anchored by strong character chemistry and emotional stakes.
