Clarkson's Farm (2021)

Clarkson's Farm follows Jeremy Clarkson as he swaps fast cars for tractors and attempts to run Diddly Squat Farm in the Cotswolds. Over the course of a farming year the series chronicles his steep learning curve — from buying seed, planting crops and tending livestock to battling British weather, stubborn machinery, red tape and skeptical locals. Viewers get a mix of deadpan British humour and surprisingly frank, educational glimpses into modern farming: the economics, the seasonal grind, animal care and environmental issues. Clarkson’s brash personality is balanced by the calm competence of local farmers and hands-on workers who guide (and often rescue) him, creating both comic misadventure and moments of genuine respect for the land. Visually the show offers beautiful countryside photography and immersive scenes of everyday farm life; tonally it moves between laugh-out-loud fiascos and quietly moving, real-world stakes. If you watch Clarkson’s Farm you’ll be entertained, learn a lot about what running a small commercial farm actually involves, and come away with an appreciation for the challenges and rewards of rural life.
