My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic follows Twilight Sparkle, a bookish unicorn and protégé of Princess Celestia, who is sent to the small town of Ponyville to learn about the magic of friendship. There she meets five very different ponies—Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Fluttershy—and together they discover they embody the mystical Elements of Harmony. As the series unfolds, the group faces everything from everyday misunderstandings and personal growth to larger threats against Equestria, solving problems with cleverness, courage and compassion.
